Improving MapServer performance with MapInfo Tab files

Hi,

Is there a way of tileindexing MapInfo TAB files?  Or improve its
performance any other way?

We are using things like Max/min scale sensibly.

We are using MapServer to render MapInfo Tab files, and are very pleased
with the speed.  It is often as quick as MapXtreme or quicker!  Just looking
into squeezing as much juice from it as possible.
