Kris,

This may not quite work, but it should be closer. Try something like:

http://pathtomapserv.exe?MODE=itemnquerymap&LAYERS=layer1&QLAYER=layer1&
QITEM=colname&QString=('[colname]'='value'
<http://pathtomapserv.exe?MODE=itemnquerymap&LAYERS=layer1&QLAYER=layer1
&QITEM=colname&QString=('[colname]'='value'> )

David.

usage

	Hello all,
	        I was trying to query one of the layers from a shape
file in the url, i am used map as the mode and gave the layer name for
Qlayer, column name for Qitem and QString. Part of the URL looks like

http://pathtomapserv.exe?MODE=map&LAYERS=layer1&QLAYER=layer1&QITEM=coln
ame&QString=("colname=value")

	the map is displayed but it didnt filter the layer with the
given querystring variables ....

	Is there something missing, can anyone suggest with something
...

	Thanks for your effort and time ....
	kris
