Just for comment, MsSqlSpatial ( http://www.codeplex.com/MsSqlSpatial)
also installs  OGC feature against MS-SQL2005 databases. Currently it
has one native client : SharpMap, but you can also connect using
MapServer ODBC connection ( for point, line or polygon tables) and
then publish WMS/WFS services.
