layer labels

iam working with c# mapscript
i want to display layer labels on the map
i have written like this
layer = map.getLayerByName("VILLAGES");
     classobj  clas = layer.getClass(0);
              labelObj  clabel = clas.label;
now how to assign this labelobj to map
plz tell me the code
