Are maplab and chameleon projects still alive?

Hi Robert: According to the MapTools.org website it looks like MapLab is not under active development. Chameleon I believe is still under active development but you might want to join their mailing list and ask there.

I have just finally installed both MapLab and Chameleon, both seem very
nice. Are these projects still alive, or have other DE's taken their
