scalebar graphic

Not via WMS but you can hit the CGI with mode=scalebar. Here's an
example using OpenLayers:

  http://preview.dnr.state.mn.us/maps/compass.html 

I'm using calls to the CGI to generate scalebars based on the OL map
object.
