[mapserver-users] scalebar - control units based on scale?

Hello,

 

Is there a way to use the current scale to control the units used on the
scalebar?

 

For example I would like the scalebar to display

*	100 feet instead of .019 miles when I am zoomed in
*	12 miles instead of 63000 feet when I am zoomed out
