[mapserver-users] OGR/PHP Consultant sought - Uprade to existing application

My late son (Phil Donaghy) built an application using OGR in PHP using MS4W
that plots points using address information.  We use this application for
911 data to pinpoint the address.  We now wish to extend this to use this
same application to plot a point given a Lat/Long for both 911 Phase II data
and GPS. 

 

Does someone have a suggestion or php code fragment we could use to plug a
lat/long argument into this application and come up with a point on the
mapserver map display?  The existing app (modified from one originally
developed by folks at DM Solutions) takes the address, parses the map DBF
and derives the point using the X and Y values therein.  It works well and
we simply want to augment it with Lat/Long interpretation - a skill I lack.

 

This is an initial opportunity that has ongoing opportunities.
