Hi,
in ArcMap 9.3 it's possible to change from default version for the WMS request to other versions.

Unfortunately not - it seems to be hardcoded in. Can I get Mapserver to only offer WMS version 1.1.1?

Valid EXCEPTIONS values for wms 1.3.0 are INIMAGE, BLANK, XML.
application/vnd.ogc.se_XML was used for previous versions. Do you have
any control on this parameter from ArcMap/ArcCatalog ?
