Hi Steve,

I have this in my file:

        OUTPUTFORMAT
                NAME "AGGPNG"
                DRIVER "AGG/PNG"
                EXTENSION "png"
                MIMETYPE "image/png;mode=24bit;"
                IMAGEMODE RGBA
                FORMATOPTION "INTERLACE=true"
                FORMATOPTION "QUANTIZE_NEW=ON"
                FORMATOPTION "QUANTIZE_FORCE=ON"
                FORMATOPTION "QUANTIZE_DITHER=ON"
                FORMATOPTION "QUANTIZE_COLORS=256"
        END

And in my layer, if you want opacity:

                OPACITY 60

That should render nice lines :).
