[mapserver-users] How do you display a symbol with two colours?

If you have moved to 6.2, you can consider using
ANCHORPOINT
http://mapserver.org/trunk/en/mapfile/symbol.html
On earlier verions you could try the approach suggested
in
http://mapserver.org/trunk/en/mapfile/symbology/construction.html#tricks
But that is kind of similar to what you have tried yourself.
To avoid gaps you could try this:

NAME 'SQUARE_FULL'
TYPE vector
FILLED true
POINTS
0 0
0 1
1 1
1 0
0 0
END
END
SYMBOL
NAME 'SQUARE_R'
TYPE vector
FILLED true
POINTS
0.5 0

STYLE
SYMBOL "SQUARE_FULL"
COLOR [LEFT_CLR]
SIZE 10
END
STYLE
SYMBOL "SQUARE_R"
COLOR [RIGHT_CLR]

It seemed to work for me on 6.0.
