[mapserver-users] shptree command does not change .qix 'date modified' when re-run?

Working as expected on SuSE 11, I see the timestamp change. I did notice that the utility doesn't produce an error if it can't create the file for some reason (I tested with permissions), it just fails silently. Maybe you're running into that?

Hello,

A thing I noticed today is that when I run the shptree command on a shapefile that already has a .qix file, a simple ls -l command shows the old date of the file, it does not see it as being replaced. Is anyone familiar with this behavior?

I am not sure if it replaces the file or not.
