[mapserver-users] MAXSIZE on Windows

Louis,

I am guessing that QGIS is requesting an image that is too large. You might try enabling debugging to see the WMS request that QGIS is sending. I think that with a high debug level it should log the request.

Subject: [mapserver-users] MAXSIZE on Windows

Dear all,

I have set up MapServer for the first time on Windows using MS4W, and the installation itself went well. I then tried to set up a map file and retrieve the data with QGis. No matter what I always get an error like this:

msWMSLoadGetMapParams(): WMS server error. Image size out of range, WIDTH and HEIGHT must be between 1 and 32736 pixels.

I'm using map files that I use in Linux without needing to set MAXSIZE. On Windows not only it seems to be necessary, it seems also to require a large figure. Anyone knows what size should be set? Or is this error being caused by something else?

Thank you,

Luis
