Check the coverage of your data and that you have projections right. It would be very interesting to know afterwards all the steps you have followed with your Mapserver setup. I believe that you have spent considerable much time with it and that means that the Mapserver documentation may not be good enough. You wrote once that you had problems with path E:\rcis\web\MapServerDlls\uildselease-1800-x64inprojSHARE\proj_def.dat. Does it mean that you have built Mapserver by yourself on Windows? -Jukka Rahkonen- ________________________________ Vogt, Robert wrote: Good afternoon all, Still working on getting MapServer up and running... We set up time extent in map file like this "wms_timeextent" "2016-05-23/2016-06-01" "wms_timedefault" "2016-06-01" If the time value is out of time extent in the request, for example http://mapserver/service.....&time=2016-06-05 I think it should return error message / service exception. But it actually returns the data for the default time, i.e. 2016-06-01. Do I make something wrong? Any idea? Thanks. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I guess this is because I'm fairly new to MapServer. In the meantime I have also upgraded the version of MapServer that I'm using to 7.0.1 to ensure there aren't any issues with versions. Would it be possible for you to show me the map files with the CLASSGROUP you have created to get multiple styles to appear in the WMS GetCapabilities document? Also, Jeff, which block of metadata did you delete to get multiple styles to appear? The metadata in the MAP | WEB | METADATA or the metadata in MAP | LAYER | METADATA? Many thanks for your help. Best wishes, Simon. ________________________________ This message (and any attachments) is for the recipient only. Anyone know a way to import them into PostGIS? Or somehow render them in Mapserver? My current strategy is to use ArcCatalog to convert them to .shp, then import the shapefile into PostGIS, but this sucks because I have to copy it all to a windows box ... and use ArcCatalog.
