[mapserver-users] A trouble at validation level

Try this:

(^[-a-zA-Z0-9_.=#'&%() ]+$)

If you want '-' in the character class [] it must be the first char in 
the brackets otherwise it is interpreted as a range character. And you 
should not need to escape chars in the [] class with '\'
