We have been using FME (basic edition, without PostGIS support) for years, and I agree it's very good. My client will probably have to buy it either way, for many of their other tasks.<BR>

FME is an excellent investment for any shop doing a lot of GIS<BR>
data processing. However, if the primary concern is splitting<BR>
a gis layer into geometry type specific layers, this can be<BR>
