Perry, Tyler, mpg,

Thanks for comments on presentation template guys. I saved as .odg as
requested.

>Have you also checked if there is a Where 2.0 speaker template
available?

I looked to no avail. I think there's more value in creating a
longer-lasting OSGeo template anyhow.

I agree, the black is cool, but intended for ad and banners and high
impact communications. Also, printing with it burns up toner in a big
way, and things like inserting screenshots and creating diagrams gets
pretty funky. So I stuck with the white background.

mpg - I addressed your comments as best I could below.

I can't spare any more time on this right now. If someone wants to pick
it up and polish it up, that's fine by me. Otherwise, let's declare it
done and get it out to the presenters.

Peter

I think this looks good Peter - Michael's comments make sense to me too.

Have you also checked if there is a Where 2.0 speaker template
available?
Last year I took their recommended opening slide and then did some
colour
coordinating with it so the rest of my slides fit their conference
colours.
Might be worth at least checking out.

I'm not a fan of having the high contrast white on black look and feel
like in
the ads. My view is that the ads are more for impact than
communication and
that white on black will be tough to look professional in a presentation

slide environment. It is also a printing nightmare and since we hope to
have
this template re-used, we should keep that in mind.

Tyler

Peter:

Cool, I'm moving some slides into it now to see how it will look. A few
things I'd like to see:

- Can we get the logo on the title master page? (not the background
compass, just the regular logo) It is on your slide, but not in the
template itself.

<Peter> Please see comment below about using the logo sparingly.

- There is a "(c) 2005 Autodesk" tag on the slide master page? (almost
hidden, lower right)

<Peter> Removed.

- I think the "section" page should have a logo on it, like the title
and end pages.

<Peter> I disagree and figure the logo is more powerful if it is used
sparingly. On the first and last slides in this case.

- Can the "end" and "section" slides be put into the "template" itself,
like the "title" and "slide" pages?

<Peter> No, because that makes them look like every other slide.
