Peter-

I'm finally back in the office, with decent connectivity...

I like the 2nd concept, but the first has me puzzled -- I'm not sure I
like/understand the irregularly sized blocks of green marching across.
Or maybe my browser isn't doing the right thing?

	Guys,

Attached are two potential concepts for banner ads promoting
OSGeo.

These will likely be used again in the future, so let's make
them good!

Please review and comment by Tuesday 9AM PST.

Sample animation for concept 1 is found at:
http://www.unitedfuture.com/OSGeo/pattern_2.html

	My thoughts:

	 - I favor Concept 2 as simpler and more dramatic but could go
either way.

	 - I'm not sure if the logo overlaid in the compass works

	Peter

	Hi Peter,

Attached are two concepts for the OSGeo online banner. In the
first concept, the logo doesn't pop too much. To make it darker here on
the concept looks weird, we tried. But when they develop it in flash
they'll be sure this is a main visual attraction. There is a link
provided below that illustrates how the bar will be treated. I think
this one looks quite nice, but it's also pretty fancy.

The second option is more basic, very inline with the print ad.

On both, the whole add will be hyperlinked, so clicking anywhere
on the ad will take you to the OSGeo website.

Please review with the members and let me know which direction
they would like to go. Can if you have questions, please call me today
