Note it is also now available as an RSS feed:
http://www.osgeo.org/event/feed

Consider it beta until you've tried it for a few months.

Also, if you want/need to post event items, let me or Michael know.   
We can post them or give you a login to do it (though log in  
mechanism is in flux at the moment).
