Yes, ditto, I agree too... The usage guidelines, while not finalized, aren't going to change any more in terms of color content or anything like that -- and I certainly don't want to open up a discussion about exactly which shade of blue to use :-)

I agree with you 100% Arnulf. I believe that it's not green because of expediency; I don't think that a decision was made by webcom about this anyway...

We're still waiting on a final copy of the logo / branding guidelines, but I believe the greens are fairly well defined in the draft.

It will be a bit of a problem to make the main logo work on a green background, but maybe some creative ghosting or something would work. If all else fails, we can place the logo in a rounded rectangle of one of the complimentary colours (uh, greys) inside the green header...

Hey,
if this has been discussed and decided on at another place forget about it.

But the longer that I use http://www.osgeo.org the more I dislike the blue
in the head. Why is it not green as it should be?

It is just very nice to be able to say if you see green its OSGeo (nature,
evolution, hope) and blue is OGC (etheral, encompassing) OSGeo theory,
OSGeo down to earth...

Just thinking.

Regards,
