[Viscom-dev] Press release for MapServer 5.0

Hi Steve,

I've currently got a blog up and running about Open Source and Oil & Gas,
Mining, Forestry, etc. and when you have the press release ready, please let
me know as I'd like to publicize this major release of MapServer. MapServer
was how I first got introduced to Open Source development.

I look forward to using the latest version of MapServer.

I read over the Press Release and it looks good to me.

Hi all: I guess we might have a newsworthy event with the MapServer 5.0
release and would like to issue a press release. I have a draft release on
the wiki at:

and would like to start the "permission to send" process, hence this
message. I'm still hoping to add a quote from someone but don't have that
information yet. Please let me know how/when to proceed.
