[Marketing] Font of OSGeo Logo

Doing some work to create an OSGeo Logo for Spanish LC, I've found
trouble trying to create some texts with the same font of the OSGeo Logo.

The OSGeo logo guide[1] states that the Logo uses Bitstream Vera Sans
but this is not true. Just look on the "G" and "S" and you'll see that
they are not the same. Maybe I am wrong and the typography section is
not about the logo...

The SVG version of the logo (the only vectorial version I can edit)
doesn't have the fonts, as all objects are paths, so I had to "guess"
witch font to use. Using a web service I've found that "Myriad Apple
Semibold" is quite similar so I used it on my proposal[3] and the
results are acceptable.

Has anyone a clue about witch is the *real* font used on the OSGeo
Logo, is this font free to be used in other versions, text, marketing
materials or whatever?

I attach a test svg and png to show what I try to explain.
