Hi Jeff,
With beermat is meant a (either round or square) piece of cardboard to put under your beerglass (to protect the table)
But a coolie-cup is a good idea as well
Although in Holland, we tend to drink so fast that a coolie-cup is hardly needed ;-)
Regards,
Gert-Jan

Hi Gert-Jan,
I would agree that unfortunately the OSGeo marketing committee is non-existent, which is always an issue around event time.
Let's definitely speak of this in person at the Board meeting (and OSGeo.nl meetup) in January. For Bonn, when you said "beermat", my brain immediately awoke: in Canada we have these things we call "coolie-cups" that you wrap around the beer, to keep it cold while you hold it in your hand. Is that what you mean by "beermat"? I would absolutely love a coolie-cup with OSGeo & FOSS4G logos!!!! Let's do it!!! It would be a huge hit with FOSS4G attendees.
Talk soon,
-jeff
