sounds like a great idea to me.

3. Friday does not conflict with the QGIS Open Days.

A reagular event is great.

I can fully support the idea and could provide support from OSgeo.

Maybe we can make an intro at every event to introduce OSgeo and maybe 
refer to sponsoring and OSgeo events
