I just installed VS2008 and the 64 build target builds the dictionaries in release as expected
I hope that will help the MapGuide team reach its milestone

Hello Trevor,

The patch has been applied to the Cs-Map branch 12.02
http://svn.osgeo.org/metacrs/csmap/branches/12.02/

the ticket 57 was updated with this information
http://trac.osgeo.org/csmap/ticket/57

I'm missing the VS2008 compiler on the machine I'm using today so I cannot test that.
If you have a minute, please let me know if the 64 bit target behaves correctly in release mode

Thanks

Hugues

Hi Trevor,

The resource availability for that simple task has been an issue these past few weeks. I haven't forgotten about you. I'm sorry if I haven't answered earlier.
I could not do it and Nom is away until Monday
If you have a patch ready to submit, I can help you out. I'm also out on Friday night, so if not before Friday, Norm will help you when he's back

Hi Hugues,

The MapGuide Open Source build process is already complicated and having http://trac.osgeo.org/csmap/ticket/57 back ported to 12.02 simplifies the build process significantly. I would like to run a set of MapGuide builds from official branches sometime this week or next week at the latest. Since the change does not touch CS-Map code, I believe it is safe for 12.02.

I would more than willing to submit the change myself but I do not have commit rights to CS-Map and do not consider myself a major contributor to CS-Map so commit rights are probably not appropriate.

Thank you,
Trevor

Hi Hugues,

Yes. 12.02 would be fine if http://trac.osgeo.org/csmap/ticket/57 is back ported to 12.02.

Regards,
Trevor

Hi Trevor,

Isn't the existing branch 12.02 good enough for you?
http://svn.osgeo.org/metacrs/csmap/branches/12.02/

It dates from April 1st 2010. Maybe you don't need the recent very few additions made to the trunk?
The list is (I'm possibly missing 1 or 2):
http://trac.osgeo.org/csmap/ticket/58
http://trac.osgeo.org/csmap/ticket/57 (I think that's the fix you need, but dictionaries can be build with the 32 bit release target)

the sure thing is that is a branch is created, the content of the following file needs to match the branch number:
http://svn.osgeo.org/metacrs/csmap/trunk/CsMapDev/Dictionaries/version.txt

Hello list,

Can I request a branch of CS-Map trunk for MapGuide Open Source 2.2? We are getting close to release and require a stable branch.

Regards,
Trevor
