[MetaCRS] Slimming down the CS-Map distribution

Hello Jackie . . .

If trimming the size of the distribution is the big issue, please consider the following:

To the best of my knowledge, MapGuide does not ever use any of the Geoid Height functions within CS-MAP. Thus, all of the data files in the three Geoid sub-directories of the Dictionaries/USA directory can be omitted from the distribution. Also, the WW15MGH.GRD file can be removed from the Dictionaries directory. Much of this data is in binary form and does not compress down very well, so the distribution size reduction could be significant.

Subject: [MetaCRS] Slimming down the CS-Map distribution

Hi All,

Is there a safe way to cut down the size of the coordinate system dictionaries that come with CS-Map by removing coordinate systems I don't need or will never use?

I'm primarily using the MgCoordinateSystem wrapper for CS-Map, and I want to know if I can remove coordinate systems in a way that will not affect this wrapper's ability to enumerate and fetch coordinate system definitions.
