[Mobilitydb-users] Query regarding upcasting and downcasting tgeompoint datatype

Hello,

Is it possible to downcast a tgeompoint which uses PointZ to a tgeompoint
which uses Point datatype by ignoring the Z component?
Is there any direct function which does this?

Is it possible to do the reverse i.e convert a 2D tgeompoint to 3D
tgeompoint by ingesting the Z component from another column or something
like that?
