[Mobilitydb-users] MobilityDB Beta 4 Pre-release

      MobilityDB Beta 4

The MobilityDB development team is pleased to announce the Beta 4 
pre-release of MobilityDB.

*Some of the features added to this pre-release are:*

 1. Multiversion (PostgreSQL 10 ->14, PostGIS 2.5->3.2) and
    multiplatform (macOS, Windows in the future) capabilities.
 2. Improving the lifting infrastructure (i.e. how to "temporalize" a
    function, see Lifting-a-Function-in-MobilityDB
    <https://github.com/MobilityDB/MobilityDB/wiki/Lifting-a-Function-in-MobilityDB>).
 3. Considerable speed up improvements, the last one related to
    multidimensional tiling now optimized with a custom bit matrix data
    structure.
 4. Addition of the asMVTGeom function, used for visualizing numerous
    trajectories using vector tiles.
