I've barely used Latex myself and am still hunting for good tools for  
my Mac - any suggestions?

Authors are encouraged to submit in Latex, but I don't want it to be  
a barrier to contributions.  Do you all agree?  If so, I hope to  
assume you will handle conversion from other formats into Latex.   
Martin, how well does the OpenOffice.org Latex exporter work?
