[Newsletter] Updates and intros

Hi all,
Well, time is ticking... we are aiming to have all draft content by  
the end of the week.

Could everyone please give a brief update back to this list and  
update the Newsletter Volume 1 wiki page if there are any changes:
http://wiki.osgeo.org/index.php/Newsletter_Volume_1

Are there:
* any barriers stopping you from getting drafts from contributors?
* any articles that need to be dropped or moved to issue 2?
* any problems working with latex tools or language?
* any suggestions/ideas for improving layout/design?

Also, I see a few new folks added to this mailing list.  Could you  
please introduce yourselves if you are new and identify how you'd  
like to participate?  If you are only lurking to see how we are  
running, just let us know, otherwise we'll assume you want to help :)
