For past issues we had a directory in the svn repository [1] for each
section, then within the sections a directory for each article named by
the author's name. Within that dir we had both the original article (in
whatever format it was submitted) and the latex version. Each latex file
was *not* a document in itself, but rather the main *.tex article had
many \begin{article} lines like:
\begin{article}
\input{annual_report/executive/editorial.tex}
\end{article}
This way, all editors and latexers could do an svn checkout and get all the originals and *.tex files.
