I know I’m not a member of the board so I hope you don’t mind my feedback and questions…
Firstly I think this is a great opportunity to spread the word about OSGeo Oceania activities and make FOSS4G an even more recognised brand in WA.
For the predicted Scenaro C:
1. What numbers do you predict will register?
2. How many registrations does "ISPRS conf rego for hard core volunteers" cover?
3. How many registrations does "ISPRS conf rego to support regional WA attendance" cover?
4. Is normal registration for FOSS4G Perth day included in the Early/Standard/Late registration fees for ISPRS?
5. Am I correct that ISPRS pays for venue?
6. Under other expenses there is domain rego, wouldn't we just use a subdomain under our existing foss4g-oceania.org domain?
Great work John and team!
Cheers
Simon

Subject: [Oceania-Board] Partnership proposal: FOSS4G Perth and OSGeo Oceania
Hi OSGeo Oceania board,
I'm submitting the attached proposal on behalf of the FOSS4G Perth 2024 organising committee. As you're already aware, we're planning a small one-day local event in Perth on 23 October as part of the ISPRS TC IV Symposium. We'd love to have OSGeo Oceania as our conference partner, to help make the event a success and to strengthen bonds between the Perth and regional open geospatial communities.
We'll begin promoting the event in a week's time. It would be great to have an indication of support by then, so we can include OSGeo Oceania as a conference partner from the start. But if it needs to wait until the next board meeting, that's OK.
If there are any questions at all please let me know, we'd be happy to meet with the board to discuss further if you like.
Cheers!
John
