Dear OSGeo charter members,

This year OSGeo elections [1] will start on Monday September 26, 2022, with
the

nomination period for new Charter Members.
Right after the Charter member elections, we'll proceed with Board
elections.

We invite you to be proactive from now on and start contacting potential
candidates!


It is important that charter members have a profile page on the OSGeo
website.

>From 2006 to now, many members might have changed email, which we think has
been one of the reasons for almost 100 members that have not participated
in the voting process for at least 4 years. Another possible reason, may be
the wish to retire from the duties of charter member.

Starting this year, the charter member’s email address will be taken from
the membeŕs profile page on the OSGeo website. The charter members mailing
list will be updated accordingly.

During the nomination process, please create your charter members profile
page, if you don’t have one, and set your current and valid email address,
and write to cro at osgeo.org stating your profile page information and the
charter number you have assigned in:

When asking for the mantra (needed for ldap account), mention that you are
a charter member, please give the number you have assigned in the charter
member list.

If you wish to retire from being a charter member, let us know by writing
to cro at osgeo.org

For new charter member elections

Candidate review and voting will follow through our electronic voting
system.

Charter member nomination period starts: Monday September. 26, 2022

Charter member nomination period ends: Friday October 14, 2022

Charter member candidate review and voting period starts: Monday October
17, 2022

Charter member candidate review and voting period ends: Sunday October 30,
2022

Results will be announced between October 31 and November 4, 2022

For board member elections

Board member nomination period starts: Saturday November 5, 2022

Board member nomination period ends: Friday November 18, 2022

Board member campaigning period starts: Saturday November 19, 2022

Board member campaigning period ends: Sunday November 27, 2022

Board member voting period starts: Monday November 28, 2022

Board member voting period ends: Sunday December 11, 2022
Results will be announced between December 12 and December 18, 2022
