Here's some answers.
1) This is untested. It depends on the machine's specs. If errors occur from a large set of images, you can always scale them down.
2) Again, this depends on the photos and the size of the photos. I run tests on a virtual machine with 9 cores and 12 GB RAM, and runtimes can vary from ~15 minutes for ~100 photos at 1200px to ~15 hours for ~600 photos at 2400px.
3) There are usually some artifacts in the orthos, usually found around trees, treelines, and buildings.

This is more or less how the first half of the process works, followed by meshing, texturing, and georeferencing/orthophoto.
5) The software is intended to be an open source photo processing toolchain for aerial photographs. It has many applications, including in agriculture, surveying, disaster response, etc.

Subject: [OpenDroneMap-users] ODM questions
Howdy,
few questions:
1) maximum # of images used for reconstruction ?
2) Time for reconstruction ?
3) Additional anomalies noted in orthos ?
4) Processing steps (import photos, align photos, etc) ?
5) What was the software's intended use ? can be used for a disaster ?
cheers,
Joshua
