[OpenGeoscience] EGU Update: (February 03) SC / TH schedule; meeting with local OSGeo community

Hi all,

the OSgeo Townhall is currently scheduled for Tuesday evening 19:00-20:00 hours on April 19 2016.

According to the Organizers (Copernicus), its is (still) possible to ask for a specific date for the Short Courses (SC) to connect them with the Townhall (TH).

Judging from last years experience, I'd say SC and TH could be scheduled on two seperate days. 
Motivation for this: Last year there was a SC on Open Data (?) right before the OsGeo TH. THe people coming in from this SC were visibly exhausted and worn out (apparently it had been a good SC). So it might not be a good idea to tire the majority (?) of the TH participants in advance.

If Tuesday should be strategically good day for the SC, the TH could also be rescheduled (if possible) to Monday.

Proposal: Since a number of OSGeo persons are Vienna-based, we could arrange (again) a meet & greet event with the local community, maybe after the SC later in the evening ? Such meet & greet outings, arranged in the past years by Helli (thanks!) were great for talking shop and making new friends while sampling the local cuisine.
