[OpenGeoscience] EGU has cancelled the physical General Assembly 2020 in Vienna

I am sorry to inform you that this years EGU General Assembly has been cancelled due to the coronavirus issue.

Preparations are under way to have a virtual event instead of the real world gathering in Vienna:

EGU2020: Sharing Geoscience Online will allow abstract authors to share presentation materials and open these for live discussion as well as participate in a selection of online networking events. We are also planning additional activities that will extend into the rest of the year and will provide more information about all of these events in the coming weeks.

Because the cancellation, the EGU Lunchbag event (https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/EGU_Lunchbag_2020) will be postponed. The budget can be used for other OSGeo activities.

Please note that the new Data Help Desk event might become part of the virtual activities during May 3 to 8.
More news on this event will be shared soon.
