<div style="font-family: 'verdana'; font-size: 12px; color: #000;">In case that no actions are in preparation for 2026, I propose to adjust our annual budget plan and apply for a budget of _zero_ USD for 2026, </div>
<div style="font-family: 'verdana'; font-size: 12px; color: #000;">so OSGeo doesn't have to earmark budget which can be put to use elsewhere.</div>

<p>what about if we convert the 1k of "OSGeo Open Science Awards" for the preparation/setup/promotion of a workshop for EGU/AGU on "geospatial software development in the frame of Open Science" ?</p>
<p><br>Maybe they could found a course-sprint after conference in Vienna?<br><br>This could be a course that we can develop together within the Open Geoscience committee and that can be then used/improved in several events.</p>

<div>Next year I plan to go both to EGU and AGU and will probably be able to promote our open (geo)science. One topic could be open science assessment.</div>
