[OpenLayers-Dev] url parsing/building

Hello dev types-
 
I've submitted a few tickets to trac that have to do with URL parsing and
building.  I see these having utility in a number of areas - particularly in
building a control to load/save the application state (related to ticket
#72) and in allowing OpenLayers to work with an automated WMS capabilities
parser.
 
Ticket #378 includes a patch to allow parsing of a url search string
(creating an args object from an arbitrary url).
 
Ticket #379 includes a patch to reverse the process (build a search string
from an args object).
 
Ticket #380 shows why this is relevant to a capabilities parser.
 
Pretty simple stuff - just hoping to get any thoughts/reviews.
