[OpenLayers-Dev] moving tiles on top of gmaps

Hi all,

I have found a strange behavior with openlayers in combination with 
google maps; The tiles of a WMS layer do not match those of the google 
layer. This isn't a bad thing per se, but if you resize the browser 
window, different tiles are requested from the WMS server.
This makes it virtually impossible to cache those tiles and result in a 
horrible performance.

You can see this behavior in the google.html example. Outline both block 
level elements and images and you will see that the block level elements 
(DIVs with WMS tiles) change their offset with the images (Google-tiles) 
when you resize the window.

Has anyone managed to setup OpenLayers with google maps and a 
cachable-WMS*) layer on top of it?

*)preferably a tilecache setup.
