[OpenLayers-Dev] limitation of fix #487 to wrap the dateline

Hello,

I have seen a fix for version 2.5, #487 to wrap the dateline; its
limitations were described by OpenLayers below.  Will this allow me to
display an image with a bounding box which crosses the international
dateline using the WMS layer?  Could someone explain the limitation listed
below? 

Limitations/expectations of this patch:

Requests which cross the date line are *not* wrapped, so they will request
content outside the world if it does not divide evenly.
