In discussing this with Zac, we determined that #1676 was a duplicate of 
#1647.  I added more comments for the patch in #1647 and I think that is 
ready for review.  It still passes the tests on my system.  #1622 is a 
relatively minor change and looks good to me and would be nice to have 
included in 2.7

For #1511, I don't think there is anything that can be done within OL to 
fix this, so I've updated the MapGuide example to show how to adjust the 
assumptions for degrees -> meters so that point coords come out 
correctly with the MG layer type.  It would be a lot better if mapping 
libraries use pixel resolution for calculations because of the 
assumptions that have to made for scale values.
