This seems sufficient to me. I'll double-check with John, but I see no problem with this. Thanks for sending the email! (I assume this isn't a blocker for 2.9; I don't have a problem with a 2.9.1 or quick 2.10 to fix a number of small things that people have brought up if there is sufficient interest.)
