Hi Vito,

AFAIK OpenLayers currently doesn't support V3 of the Google Maps API. 
Andreas Hocevar has done some work on supporting v3 though: 
http://trac.openlayers.org/ticket/2493

Maybe the patch attached to the ticket can help you.
