[OpenLayers-Dev] draw rectangle over the map

Hi,

My requirement:

I want to draw a rectangle over the google map using openlayers.

After the user draws the rectangle, I should able to get the top left
latitude and longitude  & bottom right latitude and longitude to query the
database.

Is that possible in openlayers?
