ok, thanks, Andreas. I did wonder if it was to do with Tim's
'repurposing' https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/ol3-dev/lCCPBrDO4A0
  only those in the group before this could post. Might be worth
keeping an eye on it, and report to Google if it continues to occur
with new members.
