Comment:

 [attachment:openlayers-1807.patch] fixes the issue pointed out by bartvde,
 and uses native json for writing only if {{{pretty}}} is not set to true.
 Tests continue to pass in IE6, IE8, FF3.6, Safari 5 and Opera 10. Thanks
 for any review.
