 Calling {{{destroy}}} on an {{{Events}}} object removes all event
 listeners bound to the element. Instead, only the listeners that were
 registered through the {{{Events}}} object should be removed.

 This issue has been initially reported in #2941. See the description of
 this ticket for more information.
