 Christophe, this is a duplicate of ticket:2396

 If necessary, add your comments there. Your patch is identical to the one
 there.

 However, the way forward is to create a new Format class for GML which is
 not restricted to the Simple Feature Profile. See the discussion in
 ticket:2396 for details.
