 It seems that the GMaps v3 API uses a precision of 13, whereas we use 14
 in OpenLayers. This could cause problems.

 A "better safe than sorry" fix would be to set
 OpenLayers.Util.DEFAULT_PRECISION to 13, but this might result in a too
 low accuracy for projections with degrees as units.
