 A popup doesn't point to the markers 'hotspot' but
 has an offset. This offset depends on the position
 of the marker on the 'screen', at topleft it is
 quite ok, bottom right some cm.

 Seen on Firefox 3.6.15.
 There is at least one question in the mailing list
 with the same problem:
